Notes,

Today I started my notes which means that I started answering my essential and foundation questions. I don't know the answers to all of them so that's what I'm going to need to figure out because they are important questions. I also added one more to my webliography and I turned that and my questions into Mrs. Savido. So yeah, that's all I did so far.

I haven't done this in a while..

Today, I just kind of added more to my webliography, since there are so many articles about the Salvation Army and the economy. I also thought of some questions i could ask a volunteer of the Salvation Army. I just put those on my essential and foundation question list. So yeah, that's pretty much all I did today, I don't know, the day isn't over yet.

What's the point?

I'm pretty much wrapping up my proposal, I think.
I have a lot finished and I'm on the 5th paragraph: what will your project look like in the end?
Basically most of it is complete, I just feel like I keep repeating things over and over, so I don't know, I'll just have to go back and change things around or whatever.

Today I accomplished that little piece of purple paper, some of my proposal and this blog that I'm writing right here. It's not much, but I don't think we were really supposed to do anything else today.

I am unsure of my next step. I guess it would be to finish my proposal completely. Also, maybe to fill out some more information on the little excel chart thing. That would probably be nice to have some more stuff on there. I don't know.

Yeah

So, today we had to critique someone else's webliography. I was given someones on "Going Green." Their sites seemed really legitimate and it looked like their sites were really good. Although I did find some spelling errors and just some sentences that didn't make any sense at all to me. I might have just been reading it the wrong way or it could have just been written wrong, I really don't know.

I'm also going to continue working on my proposal and hopefully I'll get more done than I already have. That is if I can possibly think of anymore than I have written down. I should be able to but I feel as though I'm repeating myself over and over, like I just keep saying the same things. I don't know, I'll have to read it over in a minute, after I'm finished writing this.

We played tetris like the whole class. Although I can't see this autostereograms, I still played because I wanted to try and get a high school but my highest was like 53 and I was on skilled and I just pressed the down arrow key until 53 popped up. So yeah, it was a good time.

some new questions..

I happened to think of a few new questions that I could possibly use for my essential question. I also worked on my questionnaire and I finished most of the questions on there. I might end up changing some of the answers but they are completed for the most part.

· Is the Salvation Army still reaching as many people as they used to?
· How many people have the Salvation Army helped/helping?
· How many volunteers have offered their help to the Salvation Army?

Proposal: Pre-writing Questionnaire

I worked on that for the majority of the class. At the beginning we just talked the graduation projects but for the rest of the time I just answered the questions that were on the questionnaire. Mrs. Savido also helped me on my essential question.

So...

I finished my webliography and now I started working on my essential and foundation questions. Since I last worked on them I've only thought of a few more questions but I honestly don't think they are very good. They are boring to me but I don't know. These are the questions that I have so far:

What is the Salvation Army?
Why is the Salvation Army important?
How can I help the Salvation Army?
What is the best way that I can help the Salvation Army?
What do you suppose would happen if I held a fundraiser for the Salvation Army?
How was the Salvation Army originated?


I don't know if these are any good but I'll keep working on them and hopefully I'll be able to think of more and better ones.

My day was spent,

Working again on my webliography. I got all my annotations and MLA citations done. I also finished up rating each website on a scale from 1-10. The websites I chose all seemed to range from 5-10, well, at least I thought that's what they should be graded. Everything is in alphabetical order and my webliography should be completed shortly.

Well,

Not much was accomplished today.
I filled out that college survey and now I'm trying to finish up my annotations and what not.
I have most of it done, I'm just not sure what else I'm going to have to add, I don't know, I'll figure it out.
I'll definitely be done with this on Friday, as long as I figure out what else I need to add to it.

Most of my time today was spent working on my collage. I have it mostly done, but I'm not posting it on my blog yet because I think there are a few things on it that I can improve. It will definitely be done by tomorrow though.

Finishing up,

I'm finishing up on the three articles so that I can post it on Mrs. Savido's blog. That's what I've done all class and that's probably all I'm going to get to, but I don't know.

I also starting finding some pictures that include the Salvation Army.

Collages,

We watched a PowerPoint presentation of different collages that graduated students did on their project. There were some really interesting ones but most of them were not interesting at all. Now, we're supposed to work on our own collage so I'm going to start doing that.

Today, I worked on those three articles and that's about it.

Essential Question..

Today we're supposed to think of an essential question. It can start with either "Which one", "Which is best", "How", "What do you suppose will happen", "Should", "Why", or "What is the best". I don't even really know how to ask this question so I don't have one yet. I should probably have one by my next post but I am unsure. Maybe I'll be able to think of one after I write this one. I don't know. -- Well it's now the end of the class and I haven't thought of any questions. Maybe one will come to me on Wednesday. We're off Tuesday !

Webliography

I just finished up my webliography. I found 16 different websites that have information on the Salvation Army and different things they've done to help. That's pretty much all that I did all day. It's not much, but it's more than nothing.

Red Kettles

Today, I basically just looked up ways that I would be able to help. I looked up the Salvation Army on the Northside and I found out that they are always looking for people to help with the Kettles, Project Bundle-Up, Treasures for Children, Operation Toy Lift and much more. As I was reading about the Red Kettles, I found out that they have been doing the Kettles since 1891 in San Francisco. Also people from the Northside Salvation Army spend some nights going out in groups to look for homeless people to give food or shelter. Shelter isn't always available though because they have very limited space and sometimes not everyone will have space. Apparently under the Monroeville Exit Overpass there are little bronze plaques with the names of homeless people and the year they passed away with the saying "We Remember." I thought that was pretty interesting to I shared that with you all.

More Key Terms,

Today, I'm going to continue to find key terms that have to do with my project. So far I think I have about 7? I don't know, all I know is that I need to find some more. I really don't know what other words to put so I guess I'll just have to find some more words that have a little bit to do with my project. I don't know, I'm kind of confused on the whole thing now.

Today, I guess I have to start my key terms. These are just ten to fifteen words that have to do with my project. Well, I'm just going to get started on them.

Well,

right now I'm working on my webliography. We're supposed to have 10 websites but I only have 7 as of this moment. I'm giving all the sites I have a title so it helps out Mrs. Savido a little bit. Maybe soon I'll start working on my key terms, that is if I can find any. Nothing immediately comes to my mind.

Today,

I have just been looking at websites that might have any information about the Salvation Army and what I could possibly do my graduation project on involving them. Toys for Tots may be a good idea, Red Kettle would be nice too. I'm just not sure what I'll be allowed to do. I don't know if they allow young volunteers to help out with these things. I hope they do because i would like to do my project on this. I think it would be a good idea and I just like to help out. I don't have any questions yet though so I'll have to start thinking of those soon.

The Salvation Army.

That's my new idea.
I'm just going to research the Salvation Army and figure out different ways that I'm able to help.
They are my mom's clients at work and she thought it would be a good idea to do something with them.
She said around Christmas time they do Toys for Tots and I thought I could help with that.

honestly,

I don't know what I'd like to do anymore.
I thought the Costa Rica project would be a good thing,
but I really don't have anything to research about it.
Everything I need to find out should probably be from
Ms. Wilds or Mr. Oliver since they are planning the trip.
Websites won't have any of the information that they'll
need to give me. So I'm still pretty unsure as to what my
topic could be.

So, I'm pretty much set on my idea of doing my graduation project on Costa Rica.
I think it would be pretty cool. I mean I just have to figure out all the information that goes into the trip and how much it costs and when we're going and what fund-raising activities we will be taking part in.

Mrs. Savido helped me think about doing Costa Rica for my graduation project.
It's a very good idea because I will be going there with the school next April break.
We have a car wash and a camping trip planned in the next few months that will help us prepare for this trip.
I'll have to look more into this but I think that I will probably be doing this.

i still have nothing.

I'll just have to think really hard later tonight about this.
I honestly have no idea what to do.
I guess i have a few thoughts as to what I could do, but I don't know how I could go about and put them into a project.
This is really stressful.

ideas?

So me and my mom were talking last night about what I could possibly do for my graduation project.
I decided that I would like to do something along the lines of volunteering at different places cause I enjoy doing it and I think that it'd be able to hold my interest for two years.
My mom like the idea of doing something with peer pressure or laughter.
I don't really understand how I'd be able to do a project on either of those, I just don't know.

I'm still not sure..

I just don't know.
I possibly have two ideas, I wouldn't mind doing something with either volunteer work or photography.
