I worked on that for the majority of the class. At the beginning we just talked the graduation projects but for the rest of the time I just answered the questions that were on the questionnaire. Mrs. Savido also helped me on my essential question.
Aid - to provide somebody or something with help or with what is needed to achieve something.
Benefit - something that has a good effect or promotes well-being.
Charity - an organization that collects money and other voluntary contributions of help for people in need.
Donation - a gift or contribution, especially a sum of money given to a charity.
Fund Raiser - an activity or event that is intended to generate money to support a nonprofit of political organization.
Project Bundle-Up - volunteers take a child or senior out shopping to buy them a coat for the winter.
Recovery - the return of something to a normal or improved state after a setback or loss.
Red Kettle - a donation to provide homeless people with a meal on Christmas day.
Rehabilitate - to help somebody to return to good health or a normal life by providing training or therapy.
Salvation Army - a worldwide evangelical Christian organization that provides aid to those in need.
Support - to keep something or somebody upright or in place, or prevent something or somebody from falling.
Treasures for Children - donors select a tag and they must purchase a gift for the gender and age stated on the tag, they then give the gift back to the Salvation Army and they distribute the gifts where they belong.
Volunteer - somebody who works without being paid.
